Thank you for commenting, and for s...Tiber Jumper,

Thank you for commenting, and for sharing your testimony. I'm so sorry about what you and your wife had to go through when she died! I can definitely relate to that need to twist my mind into an attitude of "faith," even if it means denying the truth.

Since then I've learned that faith is just receiving the abundant life that God offers. It's not that different whether it pertains to holiness (what George Weis talks about in his post) or healing. But, as you point out, holiness comes first, whether or not someone is healed. And the only way to relate to God is in truth, including the truth about ourselves and what we are feeling when we go through hard times.

I recently had the privilege of coming in contact with a blogger who was healed of epilepsy, and she seemed like a deeply spiritual person. There was no "name it and claim it" bravado about her, just deep humility and love for the Lord. She was grateful for the healing, but not focused on it. I know that I have a lot to learn from her.

I'm glad that your spiritual journey has led you to a place where you feel at home! My experience is that there is truth and error in every denomination, and all we can do is trust the Holy Spirit and God's word to lead us into truth.

Blessings to you as well!

AnetteAnette Ackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11360188067259687608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5365849129692359439.post-3566657014320157352009-08-03T15:16:14.367-07:002009-08-03T15:16:14.367-07:00Dear Annette:

If you get several minutes, here's my story. Your post on healing made me think you may be interested. God blessRuss Rentler, M.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00659833542780220795noreply@blogger.com
